TITLE: Remote Legal Specialist jobs – Full‑Time Senior Contract Compliance Analyst in El Reno, Oklahoma – $85k‑$110k – Expertise in Westlaw, DocuSign, CLM Platforms, Policy Review & Legal Work --- We’re a midsize SaaS company that grew out of a small team in El Reno, Oklahoma five years ago and now serves more than 300 enterprise customers across three continents. While our product is delivered entirely online, the legal risks that come with rapid expansion – new data‑privacy statutes, cross‑border licensing rules, and a surge in partnership agreements – have forced us to build a dedicated, remote‑first legal operations function. That’s why we’re looking for a seasoned Remote Legal Specialist who can own policy review, contract compliance, and day‑to‑day legal work without ever stepping into a traditional office. If you thrive on turning dense regulations into plain‑English guidelines and love the idea of partnering with product, engineering, and sales teams spread across the globe, keep reading. ### Why this role exists now In Q2 of this year we added two new product lines that process personally identifiable information (PII) in the EU, Canada, and California. The resulting regulatory audit uncovered three gaps in our data‑processing agreements and a backlog of 1,200 unresolved vendor contracts. To meet the 30‑day remediation SLA we promised our board, we need a legal specialist who can:

  • Cut the contract review turnaround time from an average of 12 days to under 5 days.
  • Lead the rewrite of our internal policy library, boosting the compliance‑audit pass rate from 78 % to 95 % within six months.
  • Mentor a junior legal analyst hired last quarter, expanding the team from three to five members.

Those numbers aren’t abstract – they’re the metrics we’ll be tracking together from day one. ### Who you’ll work with (and who you’ll report to) You’ll sit in a small, cross‑functional legal hub that reports directly to the Chief Legal Officer, who works out of our headquarters in El Reno, Oklahoma. Your daily partners will include:

  • Product Managers – asking you to vet feature releases for “privacy‑by‑design” compliance.
  • Engineering Leads – needing quick answers on open‑source licensing and API terms.
  • Sales Ops – sending you a steady stream of NDAs, SOWs, and MSP agreements.
  • Finance & Procurement – requiring you to approve vendor risk assessments and payment‑terms addendums.
  • The new Junior Legal Analyst – whom you’ll coach on best practices for legal research and contract drafting. All of these collaborators work remotely, but we still meet twice a week in a virtual “Legal Sync” on Microsoft Teams, and we keep a shared knowledge base in Confluence. ### What you’ll own – day‑to‑day responsibilities | Area | Typical Tasks | Success Metric | |------|----------------|----------------| | Contract Review & Management |
  • Review inbound NDAs, SaaS agreements, and reseller contracts.
  • Draft, negotiate, and execute outbound contracts using DocuSign and our CLM platform (Conga).
  • Flag risk clauses and suggest mitigations before contracts go to signing. | ≥ 95 % of contracts cleared within the 5‑day SLA; zero critical clause overruns per quarter. | | Policy Development & Review |
  • Maintain a master policy library (privacy, security, export controls) in SharePoint.
  • Conduct quarterly policy audits against GDPR, CCPA, and emerging state laws.
  • Publish “Legal Quick‑Tips” newsletters for non‑legal staff in Slack.

| Policy audit pass rate ≥ 95 %; employee satisfaction with legal guidance ≥ 4.5/5 (survey). | | Legal Research & Compliance |

  • Use Westlaw and LexisNexis to stay ahead of regulatory updates.
  • Produce concise briefs for leadership on new legislation affecting SaaS contracts.
  • Coordinate with external counsel for litigation support when needed. | Research turnaround ≤ 48 hours for urgent queries; brief accuracy rating ≥ 4.7/5 from senior leadership. | | Process Improvement |
  • Map the end‑to‑end contract workflow in Jira, identify bottlenecks, and propose automation (e.g., auto‑populate fields with data from Salesforce).
  • Train the sales team on use of the “Contract Self‑Service Portal.” | Workflow cycle time reduced by ≥ 30 % within the first 6 months. | | Mentorship & Team Building |
  • Conduct weekly 1‑on‑1s with the junior analyst.
  • Lead a quarterly “Legal Hackathon” where the legal team builds small scripts (Python/PowerShell) to auto‑extract key clause data. | Junior analyst’s performance rating ≥ 4.5/5 after 12 months. | ### Tools you’ll use (we love a good stack) 1. Westlaw & LexisNexis – primary legal research engines.

2. DocuSign – for e‑signatures and audit trails. 3. Conga CLM – our contract lifecycle management system. 4. Microsoft Teams – daily stand‑ups and video calls. 5. Slack (Legal Channel) – quick questions and policy alerts. 6. Confluence & Jira – documentation and workflow tracking. 7. Google Workspace – Docs, Sheets, and Drive for collaborative drafting. 8.
