Position Overview
We are currently hiring motivated and personable Remote Part-Time Inbound Chat Specialists to join our expanding customer engagement team. In this role, you will represent arenaflex's automotive dealer clients through live online chat, guiding potential customers through their buying journey, answering product and service questions, and converting inquiries into qualified leads and scheduled dealership appointments.
This is a remote opportunity; however, candidates must reside in one of the approved states listed below in order to comply with operational and licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with a high volume of website visitors through live online chat, delivering friendly, timely, and professional responses that reflect positively on our automotive dealer clients.
- Handle a wide variety of customer inquiries — from product features and service availability to pricing questions and financing options — via written chat communication.
- Provide accurate, up-to-date information about dealership inventory, promotions, and service offerings.
- Qualify and narrow down customer needs in order to schedule showroom, test drive, or service appointments on behalf of the client.
- Capture and record customer contact information for lead generation, follow-up, and client performance review.
- Summarize each interaction in a clear, concise format that helps dealership clients understand customer intent and improve their sales processes.
- Develop and maintain a growing knowledge base of the evolving products, services, and technologies offered by our dealer partners.
- Adapt quickly to changing scripts, products, and client expectations in a fast-paced digital environment.
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly performance targets related to lead conversion, appointment setting, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
- Residency Requirement: Must currently reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, or Wisconsin. (Pennsylvania-based candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.)
- Computer & Equipment: Must own or have reliable access to a personal computer or laptop equipped with a functioning webcam and microphone.
- Internet Connectivity: Must have a stable, high-speed internet connection suitable for real-time chat operations and Zoom-based training.
- Availability: Must be able to attend four weeks of paid, remote training via Zoom, Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM EDT.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Must be able to work five days per week, including either a Saturday or a Sunday.
- Customer Service Orientation: Previous experience in retail customer service, call center, or automotive industry is preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to type quickly, accurately, and conversationally.
- Multitasking Ability: Strong ability to manage multiple chat windows and tasks simultaneously; gaming or live-chat experience is a plus.
- Professional Demeanor: Positive, upbeat, and professional attitude in every customer interaction.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with frequent change, evolving scripts, and a quick-paced digital work environment.
Skills and Competencies for Success
- Active Listening: Ability to read between the lines of written messages to identify customer needs and concerns.
- Typing Proficiency: A typing speed of at least 40–50 words per minute with strong accuracy.
- Sales Acumen: Comfortable guiding conversations toward appointment scheduling and lead capture without being pushy.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating multiple browser tabs, chat platforms, and internal tools at once.
- Problem Solving: Resourceful in finding answers quickly, even when faced with unfamiliar product questions.
- Time Management: Able to balance response speed with quality and thoroughness across multiple simultaneous chats.
- Team Collaboration: Works well with coaches, team leads, and fellow specialists in a remote team environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $13.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
- Expected Hours: 25–39 hours per week, with shift options available during the day, evening, and night.
