Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Provide empathetic, solution‑focused assistance to members, providers, and pharmacies regarding pharmacy benefit inquiries, claim issues, and prescription coverage questions.
  • Manage a high volume of inbound calls while also initiating outbound calls for follow‑up, verification, and clarification of member or provider needs.
  • Spend approximately 90% of your shift on the phone, delivering consistent, courteous, and accurate information that reflects arenaflex’s commitment to service excellence.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for overrides, prior authorizations, and formulary exceptions, accurately documenting each action within the claims processing system.
  • Monitor the status of pharmacy claims, ensuring timely entry of member data, claim updates, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including pharmacy operations, clinical specialists, and IT—to resolve complex issues and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and training sessions as assigned, contributing ideas that enhance member experience and operational performance.

Essential Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the pharmaceutical healthcare industry, preferably within a PBM, health‑benefits organization, or high‑volume call center.
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential is highly preferred; inactive certifications are also considered.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certifications in healthcare administration, customer service, or related fields are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with pharmacy claims processing software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, web browsers).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.
