About arenaflex – Pioneering Logistics Solutions

arenaflex is a global leader in freight transportation, supply‑chain optimization, and logistics technology. With a legacy of innovation and a commitment to safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, arenaflex delivers reliable freight services across continents. Our workforce is the engine that drives our success, and we are constantly seeking energetic, detail‑oriented individuals who are ready to grow with us.

Position Overview

We are looking for motivated, entry‑level professionals to join our dynamic team as Freight Handling & Data Entry Associates. This role blends hands‑on dock operations with critical data‑entry responsibilities, ensuring that every shipment is accurately documented, safely secured, and efficiently moved. While the majority of the work is performed on‑site in our modern dock facilities, we also provide flexible work‑from‑home opportunities for the data‑entry components of the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate motorized and manual material‑handling equipment—including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks—to move freight safely across the dock area.
  • Inspect and verify freight documentation, ensuring that descriptions, weights, and hazardous‑material classifications match the physical cargo.
  • Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope, and other appropriate tools to prevent movement during transit.
  • Identify damaged freight, perform minor repairs when possible, and document any discrepancies for further action.
  • Complete all required paperwork and electronic reports accurately and on time, maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist customers and service‑center personnel with freight inquiries, documentation requests, and loading instructions.
  • Perform hostling (yard mule) duties when needed, including moving trailers within the yard and positioning them for loading or unloading.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and arenaflex policies to maintain a secure workplace.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet tight operational deadlines and support overall dock efficiency.
  • Undertake additional tasks or special projects as directed by supervisors.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Basic arithmetic skills; ability to perform simple calculations with or without a calculator.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry hand freight of varying weights, handle dock plates up to 100 lb, and open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 lb of force.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, push, and pull freight repeatedly throughout a shift.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation.
  • Experience with hostling or yard‑mule duties.
  • Familiarity with electronic freight‑management systems or manual documentation processes.
  • Certification to operate a forklift or willingness to obtain certification through arenaflex’s training program.
  • Previous exposure to dock environments, including handling of hazardous materials and compliance with safety regulations.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Accurate verification of freight documentation and meticulous handling of cargo.
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to personal and team safety, adherence to OSHA standards, and proactive hazard identification.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to sustain a physically demanding workload over extended periods.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal staff.
  • Problem‑Solving: Quick identification of issues such as damaged freight and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort using handheld devices, scanners, and basic computer applications for data entry.

Work Environment & Conditions

Our dock facilities are state‑of‑the‑art, featuring modern equipment, well‑maintained loading bays, and a safety‑first culture. Employees work in a fast‑paced environment that may be exposed to varying weather conditions, exhaust fumes, dust, and noise.
