[Remote] Lead Functional Consultant/Business Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. System Automation Corporation is a software vendor focused on providing systems that support government regulatory management operations. The Lead Functional Consultant/Business Analyst will lead complex regulatory implementation engagements, provide coaching and guidance to consultants, and develop best-practice documentation to enhance team performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements analysis by collaborating with client stakeholders, reviewing documentation, conducting workshops to surface business needs, and translating requirements into well-architected platform solutions
- Develop detailed technical solution documentation including process flowcharts, diagrams, data models, and user guides
- Own the full user story lifecycle: author stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira, and drive ongoing requirements clarification with client and internal stakeholders through delivery
- Configure and maintain business applications using the Evoke low-code platform, operating within solution designs established by the development team and escalating design decisions accordingly
- Ensure all production changes follow lifecycle methodology, version control, appropriate testing, and risk guidelines
- Conduct working sessions with clients to facilitate feedback and resolve issues during client review and UAT
- Lead end-user and administrator training sessions
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing, guiding end users and resolving reported issues
- Triage and document system issues during client review and testing, coordinating with solution developers on resolution
- Serve as the primary day-to-day coach and escalation point for the solution consulting team (6–10 consultants)
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching conversations focused on skill development, project challenges, and career growth
- Support onboarding of new solution consultants, including structured ramp plans and early milestone check-ins
- Provide real-time feedback on consultant deliverables, calibrating work against team quality standards
- Coordinate with the Professional Services Manager on team health, individual development, and escalations
- Thrive in a leaner environment where operating standards are still maturing, bringing structure and consistency to the team rather than relying on pre-existing frameworks
- Model SA’s core values — Respect, Honesty & Integrity, Empathy, Responsiveness, Customer Experience, and Accountability — in all team interactions
- Develop and maintain best-practice documentation for requirements gathering process mapping, backlog management, solution configuration, testing, and training
- Create reusable templates and frameworks that improve delivery consistency across the team
- Build delivery structure where it doesn't exist, including templates, quality checklists, and decision frameworks that the team relies on in active engagements
- Drive adoption of established standards across active projects, working with project managers and consultants to ensure frameworks are applied consistently, not just documented
- Conduct internal workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Collaborate with the Professional Services Manager to refine delivery standards and methodologies
