[Remote] Director-Delivery Operations - CDH - Remote

The Director of Delivery Operations is responsible for leading the execution and operational governance of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, ensuring predictable and safe delivery of work at scale. This role involves establishing delivery models, managing dependencies, and providing executive-level visibility into delivery performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate the Enterprise Data & Analytics delivery operating model, ensuring consistent execution across sprint operations and releases
  • Translate enterprise delivery strategy and standards into organizational execution, operating cadence, and measurable outcomes
  • Establish standards and practices for Agile delivery operations, including PI planning support, sprint hygiene, throughput and flow metrics, and team health indicators
  • Oversee program- and portfolio-level release management, including enterprise release calendars, dependency coordination, integrated release gates, and cutover readiness
  • Lead portfolio operations and capacity management, providing leadership visibility into demand, throughput, constraints, delivery commitments, and trade-offs
  • Run delivery operations forums, including councils, risk and milestone reviews, decision tracking, and evidence capture to support audit‑ready execution
  • Establish and enforce quality assurance and delivery controls, including definitions-of-done, validation for high-risk deliverables, and delivery readiness gates
  • Oversee delivery tooling and workflow automation (e.g., ADO/Jira standards, intake‑to‑backlog flow, evidence and template automation) to improve delivery transparency and reliability
  • Partner with Product, Platform, Analytics, Enablement, and Governance leaders to manage cross‑team dependencies and resolve delivery risks
  • Provide clear, executive‑ready communication on delivery performance, risks, and outcomes
  • Build, mentor and develop high-performing Delivery Operations team, fostering strong execution, accountability, reliability and continuous improvement

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Design, Business, Cybersecurity, Health Informatics)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in at least one of the following areas: digital health, product development, UX design, enterprise security, or systems operations
  • Proven experience leading large cross-functional teams and managing enterprise-level initiatives
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, MPH) in a relevant discipline
  • Progressive leadership experience in delivery management, program management, or related execution and operations roles
  • Demonstrated experience leading delivery operations across multiple teams and portfolios in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience supporting data, analytics, or technology platform organizations
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks, release management, and operational governance
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑team dependencies, delivery risk, and release coordination in regulated or high-risk environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience influencing without direct authority
  • Experience of running large scale implementations in 5B+ Academic medical center
  • Experience with portfolio operations, capacity planning, and delivery performance metric
  • Agile or delivery certifications (e.g., CSM, ACSM, PMI‑ACP)
