Healthcare API & Integration Architect (FHIR / Microservices)
CTG is seeking an experienced Healthcare API & Integration Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise healthcare integration solutions supporting member, employer, broker, and provider platforms. This role requires deep expertise in healthcare interoperability, FHIR APIs, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and AWS cloud technologies. Location: Remote Duration: 11 months
Key Responsibilities
Architect and design healthcare integration solutions supporting member, employer, broker, and provider ecosystems. Lead modernization initiatives, transforming monolithic applications into scalable microservices-based platforms. Design and implement RESTful APIs, FHIR-compliant interfaces, and enterprise integration services. Develop event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, and asynchronous messaging frameworks. Define API governance standards, lifecycle management processes, and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications. Design highly available, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions on AWS. Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable healthcare technology solutions. Establish architecture standards focused on performance, security, scalability, and operational excellence. Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices across development teams. Healthcare Domain Expertise Prior experience supporting Member, Employer, Broker Portal, and Provider Integration initiatives within the healthcare industry. Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards and healthcare data exchange. Experience implementing FHIR-based healthcare interoperability platforms. Experience leading architecture strategy and cross-functional engineering teams. Strong background in CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native application development. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. AWS, TOGAF, or healthcare interoperability certifications are a plus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
