About the Role: Phone and Chat Credential Verification Specialist

As a Phone and Chat Credential Verification Specialist at arenaflex, you will be the essential bridge between nurses seeking meaningful work and healthcare facilities in need of qualified staff. Your primary responsibility will be to verify the credentials of nurses who have selected a healthcare facility where they wish to work, and to communicate verification results clearly and professionally through written messages and phone follow-ups.

You will also handle inbound and outbound calls from nurses checking on the status of their shift requests, providing timely updates, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth experience from initial inquiry to confirmed placement. In addition, you will manage multiple chat channels simultaneously, allowing you to support several nurses at once while maintaining accuracy and a personal touch.

This role is ideal for someone who is technically savvy, a quick learner, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. You will navigate a variety of online tools and databases, follow established communication scripts, and adapt to changing priorities without losing efficiency or composure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Credential Verification: Accurately verify nurse credentials through online systems after they have selected a healthcare facility for a shift assignment, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Written and Verbal Communication: Send clear, professional written confirmations to nurses regarding the status of their credentials, and conduct follow-up phone calls to provide updates and answer questions.
  • Multi-Channel Chat Support: Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously, providing timely and accurate responses while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • High-Volume Call Management: Handle a large volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently, ensuring each interaction is handled with care, professionalism, and accuracy.
  • Needs Assessment and Problem-Solving: Identify the needs of each nurse or facility representative, clarify information, research available resources, and provide solutions or alternatives as needed.
  • Data Entry and Record Management: Accurately input and update records related to shift requests, credential verification, and customer interactions in company systems.
  • Script Adherence with Personalization: Follow established communication scripts while adapting tone and approach to suit the individual needs of each interaction.
  • Resource Navigation: Access and utilize company and client resources efficiently to resolve inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Task Flexibility: Seamlessly switch between phone calls, chats, and data entry tasks without sacrificing quality or composure.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance for all scheduled shifts, including rotating weekends as required.
  • Professionalism and Positivity: Represent arenaflex with a positive, solutions-focused attitude in every customer interaction.
  • Cross-Training Opportunities: Be open to learning additional skills and supporting other areas of the operation as needed.

Essential Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in customer service or customer support, demonstrating a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Call Center or Office Background: At least one year of prior experience in a call center or professional office environment, with a solid understanding of structured workflows and high-volume communication.
  • Typing Proficiency: Ability to type at least 35 words per minute with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and a professional phone presence.
  • Technical Savvy: Comfortable navigating online systems, databases, and communication platforms efficiently; able to learn new software quickly.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Self-motivated and capable of working productively in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Remote Work Experience: Previous experience working from home in a professional capacity is highly valued and considered a strong plus.
  • Healthcare or Staffing Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare staffing, credentialing processes, or related fields is advantageous but not required.
  • Multitasking Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, channels, and conversations simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with changing tasks, tools, and processes in a dynamic work environment.
