Why This Role Matters

As a Data Center Circular Center Inventory & Asset Technician (often referred to as a DIAT), you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s data‑center operations. Your work ensures that critical hardware assets are accurately tracked, securely handled, and responsibly disposed of when they reach the end of their lifecycle. By maintaining precise inventory records and supporting seamless inbound and outbound logistics, you enable arenaflex to deliver reliable services to millions of customers, uphold stringent security standards, and drive operational efficiency across our global infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Compliance

  • Adhere to arenaflex’s security and data‑management policies, promptly reporting any security or safety incidents.
  • Coordinate with security teams for third‑party vendor interactions, ensuring all external access complies with internal controls.
  • Participate in Task Hazard Analyses (THA) for every assignment, identifying and mitigating potential risks before work begins.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including data protection and export‑control requirements.

Operational Workflow Management

  • Execute inbound and outbound logistics processes, including purchase order (PO) receipt, Rack Management System (RMS) tasks, and shipment documentation.
  • Accurately log all movements of hardware assets, ensuring that records reflect real‑time status and location.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory handling and asset disposition.

Customer Support & Service Delivery

  • Maintain a customer‑centric mindset while processing tickets and fulfilling Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
  • Ensure IAM tasks are completed in accordance with internal policies, industry best practices, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify potential impacts of internal and external events on customers, communicate risks clearly, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve escalated issues and improve overall service quality.

Asset Management & Disposal

  • Generate and maintain detailed documentation on inventory control processes and asset lifecycle management.
  • Conduct regular audits, data reconciliations, and corrective actions to guarantee inventory accuracy.
  • Manage the disposal of data‑bearing devices (DBDs) in line with SLAs and arenaflex policies, ensuring secure data erasure and proper tracking of serial numbers.
  • Coordinate warranty claims and return merchandise authorizations (RMAs) with vendors, adhering to agreed timelines and documentation standards.

Procurement & Reporting

  • Notify management of stock shortages, initiate requisition processes, and track open purchase requests.
  • Provide regular status reports on inventory health, asset utilization, and operational metrics to senior leadership.
  • Assist in the development of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, optimizing storage space, and enhancing throughput.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or data‑center logistics within a technology‑focused environment.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or custom arenaflex tools), basic understanding of hardware components, and ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to pass arenaflex Cloud Background Check and any required government or client security screenings.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and interact professionally with internal teams and external vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a high‑volume data‑center or large‑scale IT infrastructure environment.
  • Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent).
  • Hands‑on experience with secure data destruction methods and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
  • Proficiency with advanced Excel functions, Power BI, or other data‑visualization tools for reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement projects and drive measurable efficiency gains.
