[Remote] Engineering Business Development Manager Midwest / Rocky Mountain Territory

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for promoting and supporting a dedicated portfolio of solutions, managing industry approvals, and collaborating with internal sales teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• reputed company promotion and specification (1st Sale) activities in collaboration with reputed company sales and technical team members
• reputed company and maintain relationships with key design/specifying engineers, agencies, and customers to promote and reputed company projects
• Maintain CRM with 1st Sale Projects and track through to 2nd Sale transition to reputed company sales group
• Participate in various local professional associations to reputed company reputed company brand recognition in region
• Coordinate and deliver technical designs (preliminary and final) in collaboration with external partners
• Promote software tools relevant to product design, ensuring client adoption and effective use
• Provide estimating assistance for high-level projects/value-engineering opportunities including budgetary quotes
• Support and maintain State & Provincial DOT approvals, while also driving new evaluations and inclusion
• Track market trends and project opportunities, relaying intelligence to product and reputed company leadership
• Present technical content at trade shows, lunch-and-learns, and professional seminars
• Work with regional technical & reputed company sales to reputed company projects and specs:
• Supporting engineers in key applications and solutions
• Supporting industry approval processes (ASTM, state-level)
• Delivering preliminary and final technical designs
• Promoting design software for client use
• Assisting in project estimating and value-engineering
• Leading efforts to reputed company and maintain product approvals reputed company DOT and other regulatory agencies

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or reputed company technical discipline, licensed PE preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in geosynthetics or civil infrastructure technical sales, design, or support
• Strong technical understanding of geosynthetics, geotechnical and civil engineering applications
• Effective collaboration with internal sales, engineering, and marketing teams
• Organized and analytical approach to business development and product promotion
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities
• Strong planning, organizational, and project management capabilities
• Ability to work independently while effectively working with other team members
• Willingness to travel regionally as required. Travel >50% travel
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No reputed company sponsorship available
• Licensed PE preferred
• Experience working with DOTs and public agency approval processes preferred
• Knowledge of geosynthetic products and applications or similar construction products
• Familiarity with both distribution and direct sales models in the civil/environmental/geotechnical industry
