Role Overview – Why This Position Matters

The Senior Operations Process Manager – Customer Experience & Store Optimization is a pivotal role that bridges strategic vision with day‑to‑day execution. Reporting to the Operations Strategy leadership team, you will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of store‑level process initiatives, from problem analysis through solution design, implementation, and performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities

  • Process Design & Implementation: Lead the development, testing, and rollout of new store processes that improve speed, accuracy, and cost‑effectiveness, ensuring alignment with arenaflex’s strategic objectives.
  • Project Management: Create and maintain detailed project work plans, timelines, and risk registers for multiple concurrent initiatives, guaranteeing on‑time delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  • Issue Resolution & Roadblock Management: Proactively monitor project health, anticipate obstacles, and coordinate cross‑functional resources to keep initiatives moving forward.
  • Field Partnership: Build strong, collaborative relationships with store leaders, field teams, and regional managers, serving as the trusted advisor for operational excellence.
  • Data‑Driven Insights: Synthesize industry trends, competitive intelligence, and consumer data to produce high‑impact reports and strategic recommendations.
  • Training & Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver training modules, best‑practice guides, and on‑the‑job coaching to ensure consistent adoption of new processes across the store network.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain a living repository of operational procedures, FAQs, and lessons learned to support continuous learning within the organization.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and evaluate a team of 2‑5 Business Analysts, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on analytical rigor and innovative thinking.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in retail operations, process improvement, or project management, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Analytical Acumen: Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative analysis, interpret statistical data, and translate findings into strategic actions.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of influencing senior leaders and field partners alike.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of direct retail experience or experience managing large‑scale process initiatives within a retail environment.
  • Advanced coursework or certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or Change Management.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, anticipate future challenges, and design scalable solutions.
  • Leadership & Influence: Experience leading cross‑functional teams, providing constructive feedback, and driving consensus without direct authority.
  • Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of store‑level workflows, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service dynamics.
  • Data Literacy: Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Passion for improving the end‑customer experience and translating that into operational improvements.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in fast‑paced environments, manage competing priorities, and respond swiftly to unexpected store needs.
