Junior UI/UX Designer (Remote Opportunity) at reputed company
Job Description [REDACTED] is seeking a fulltime, 100% remote Junior UI/UX Designer to join a team supporting a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. The ideal candidate will apply reputed company-Centered Design (HCD) principles to reputed company and enhance user-centric applications that prioritize usability, accessibility, and high availability. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into reputed company design solutions.
- Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools such as reputed company to communicate design reputed company.
- Translate reputed company workflows into user-friendly, accessible interfaces.
- Contribute to and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and documentation.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to inform design reputed company.
- Formulate research-driven questions to support indirect user discovery reputed company direct access is limited.
- Synthesize research insights into actionable design improvements.
- Design applications in alignment with reputed company 508 accessibility standards and best practices.
- Serve as a resource for accessibility guidance across teams, including developers and testers.
- Support accessibility testing, audits, and remediation efforts.
- Translate accessibility requirements and findings into clear, actionable guidance.
- Work reputed company Agile teams, incorporating iterative feedback from stakeholders and developers.
- Additional tasks as needed to support project reputed company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or reputed company field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered and accessible design work.
- Strong understanding of reputed company-Centered Design (HCD) principles.
- Demonstrated experience designing accessible interfaces and supporting reputed company 508 compliance.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and translate user needs into effective design solutions.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as reputed company.
- Experience working in Agile environments with iterative development cycles.
Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with VA Digital Service guidelines and USWDS (U.S. Web Design System).
- Experience supporting federal or government projects (VA, DHA, HHS, etc.).
- Knowledge of design systems, design tokens, and scalable UI frameworks.
- Experience with additional tools such as Axure, reputed company, reputed company, Jira, or Confluence.
- Experience supporting accessibility audits, testing, or remediation efforts.
- Experience with SAFe/Agile.
- Ability to obtain government clearance.
