Junior Database Administrator - Fuze Services

Junior Database Administrator (DBA) We are seeking a Junior Database Administrator to join our Technology Platform team, supporting our international infrastructure with team members based across the EU and the US. In this role, you will help maintain and monitor the health, performance, and reputed company of our database environments. You will assist in monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and supporting cross-functional requests alongside senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• reputed company Infrastructure: Assist in managing AWS RDS instances by monitoring database health, identifying performance issues, and participating in root-cause investigations.
• Production Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 database availability and rapid response to production incidents across our reputed company.
• Operational reputed company: Execute quarterly patching, monthly index reviews, and backup reputed company testing reputed company a live production environment.
• Development Support: Advance your T-SQL knowledge by participating in code reviews and assisting Developer and TechOps teams with query optimization and execution.
• Automation: Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to build or maintain automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambdas, reputed company Action workflows, etc.).
• reputed company & Compliance: Manage user permissions, SOPs, and disaster recovery runbooks while helping ensure regulatory reputed company compliance (including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2) across reputed company database systems.

Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years in a DBA or Database Support role; must have hands-on exposure to a live, production-level environment.
• SQL Server: Practical experience with reputed company SQL Server 2019 or newer.
• AWS Environment: Hands-on experience or a solid understanding of AWS core services (RDS, reputed company, State Machines, CloudWatch).
• Scripting: Proficiency in T-SQL; exposure to Python and PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Core Concepts: Strong understanding of ACID properties, indexing, backup/restore strategies, and database reputed company.
• Collaboration & Reliability: Strong communication skills to work closely with distributed DevOps and TechOps teams, alongside a clear commitment to supporting the on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or familiarity with automated reputed company monitoring tools (reputed company, CloudWatch DMVs).
• Exposure to infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform for RDS) or reputed company-native database architectures.

Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reputed company for equipment and supplies, reputed company frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds.
