About Us
Mug Media is a fully-remote, YouTube-centric video editing team. We pride ourselves on blue-ribbon video, quick turnaround, and candid communication (with clients and with coworkers!). Our editors understand YouTube's unique editing language, and work closely with creators to mimic and elevate their trademark styles. As an early member of our team, you will be instrumental in forging Mug's culture and trajectory. We are shaping Mug Media into a flagship production company for the new age of online media, and we need your help! What You'll Do Edit raw footage into top-tier YouTube content, often on tight deadlines Collaborate closely with YouTube creators (via Discord) & execute quick revisions Work with fellow editors, creatives, and analysts to optimize video performance and workflow Organize and upload assets with accurate naming conventions Pitch & give candid feedback on ideas for original, in-house content Who You Are A YouTube Content Creator/Video Editor with a proven track record (multiple editing samples appreciated!) Experienced with Adobe Premiere (Photoshop, After Effects, Media Encoder a plus) Familiar with Discord Lover of YouTube, gaming, humor, and ~meme culture~ Comfortable with prioritizing and executing multiple video projects, each with unique styles Capable of giving, receiving, and applying candid feedback Prefer being challenged in a fast-paced, changing environment An open-minded creative with great organization and a good internet connection (we move a lot of files over here) Super Bonus Points Familiarity/proficiency with other editing suites (Final Cut, Vegas Pro, etc) Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Suite Experience with cinematography/scriptwriting/original content production Experience in YouTube analytics Please have a reel or examples of previous work linked in your resume.
