Key Responsibilities • Customarily and regularly work more than half of all working time away from the company’s place of business and the employee’s home office obtaining orders for the company’s services. Employee’s primary duty will be to engage in outside sales and obtain contracts for the company’s services. • Responsible for researching and developing Referral Provider Network relationships and producing referrals; performs all phases of consultative sales process, including preparation and documentation of cold calls, follow-up calls, diagnosis of referral source and client needs, recommendation of appropriate Home Instead® services and additional community resources, maintaining and nurturing existing referral accounts, including follow-up, as necessary. • Achieve inquiry generation objectives for assigned territory with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share. Target accounts include, but are not limited to, hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, rehabilitation centers, etc. • In conjunction with Home Instead franchise leadership, develops sales and marketing plans, detailing weekly and monthly activities focused on meeting or exceeding established goals. • Develop and maintain knowledge of Home Instead brand. Effectively presents Home Instead marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting formal group presentations to referral providers. • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential. • Develop a database of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face cold calling on referral providers, email, telephone and Web. • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed following the consultative sales process. • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. • Participate in and contribute to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and co-workers. • Perform other duties as assigned and consistent with the general nature of this outside sales job description. Main Job Responsibilities for Our Entry Level Sales Representative: • Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service • Identify and assess customer needs to provide appropriate solutions and recommendations. • Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. • Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve complex customer issues and escalate as necessary. • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of company products, services, and policies to effectively assist customers and provide accurate information. • Proactively build rapport to enhance customer satisfaction. • Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Representative Role Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college education is a plus. • Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required. • Willingness to learn and develop customer service skills is essential. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and courteous demeanor. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Ability to remain calm and composed while handling difficult customer interactions. • Proficient computer skills, which include but not limited to email and basic Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
