Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapists for a full-time role within school districts in the Newnan, GA area. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment, providing vital support to students with diverse physical therapy needs. Position Overview: As a Physical Therapist in a school setting, you will play a key role in... assessing and treating students to enhance their physical capabilities and ensure they have access to their educational environment. Your work will contribute significantly to each student?s ability to participate fully in school activities and reach their personal goals. Key Responsibilities: ? Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess students' motor skills, functional capabilities, and physical development. ? Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals. ? Provide direct therapy services to students to improve mobility, strength, and coordination. ? Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. ? Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to establish and review therapy goals and services. ? Educate school staff and parents on exercises and activities that can be performed at school or at home to support therapy goals. ? Stay informed of best practices and advances in the field of pediatric physical therapy to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications: ? Licensure: Valid state Physical Therapist license in Georgia. ? Education: Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. ? Certification: Current CPR/AED certification. ? Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a preference for experience in pediatrics or schools. ? Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
