K-10 Online Educator and Instructional Leader

Description We are a tuition-free online education program dedicated to serving students in grades K-10 across the state of Georgia. Our program emphasizes a rich and engaging curriculum that complies with Georgia state standards, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education. Students actively participate in a range of academic activities such as labs, written assignments, discussions... group and individual projects, assessments, and exams—all intended to foster meaningful learning experiences. The Opportunity We are seeking a passionate educator to act as the primary instructor for students across various core content areas and grade levels. This role focuses on driving student success through engaging instruction, continuous progress monitoring, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities • Serve as the teacher of record and deliver effective instruction across multiple core content areas. • Meet and exceed student achievement goals and state-specific academic standards. • Conduct live lessons through web conferences while incorporating research-based instructional strategies. • Set up and maintain courses in the Learning Management System (LMS). • Track student progress in asynchronous courses, providing timely feedback and grading assignments. • Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success. • Collaborate with the Principal to generate and deliver student progress reports. • Use data to adjust instructional strategies and differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs. • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment by embracing culturally responsive teaching. • Implement school-wide expectations and maintain norms inside and outside the virtual classroom. • Utilize 21st-century technology skills to enhance instruction and engage students. • Participate in planning and attending extracurricular activities, including social events and field trips. • Attend in-person state testing as required. • Perform additional duties as assigned. About You • Hold a valid Georgia teaching license in the relevant content area. • Preferably reside in Georgia. • Familiar with Georgia State Standards and Common Core. • Have at least two years of teaching experience (preferred). • Comfortable working in a growth-oriented environment, receiving coaching and feedback. • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. • Capable of managing confidential information appropriately. • Able to supervise students and stand for extended periods, if necessary. • Able to pass federal and state background checks. • Experience working in diverse, multicultural settings is a plus.
