The role of the Merchandise Retrieval Associateencompasses assisting customers with loading their bought items into their cars and resupplying shelves for future patrons. Safety is crucial in this position due to the need for frequent lifting and physical exertion. Travel Requirements: The need for frequent travel is not a requirement for this job; however, there may be instances where attending meetings, training sessions, or aiding neighboring stores requires travel. We are searching for individuals who meet our specific qualifications and align with our company values: • The difference between full-time and part-time employment is contingent on the employee's hours of work. Typically, full-time employees work 39-40 hours per week, while part-time employees are scheduled to work up to 25 hours per week. However, the store's needs may dictate that additional hours be worked. • The successful candidate must have complete availability for morning, afternoon and evening shifts, every day of the week. • Proficiency to carry out job tasks that include prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or any additional physical demands needed to accomplish assigned responsibilities. • The essential requirement is the capacity to lift 25 pounds without support, but it is achievable to lift weights exceeding 25 pounds with or without assistance. Self-discipline is integral to success, as it allows you to stay focused and productive even when faced with distractions or difficulties: Minimum Qualifications: • Over a period of 6 months, I honed my skills in using a computer, with a particular focus on data handling tasks like accessing, inputting, modifying, and outputting information. • Competently handled day-to-day tasks through the use of standard retail technology like smartphones and tablets over a period of six months. • Sales-related roles require individuals to have the capacity to acquire mandatory licensure or registration. Preferred Qualifications: • In the past 6 months, I have worked in retail. • Six months of experience working in a home improvement or hardware store is a prerequisite for anyone applying for a Loader position. • Candidates who have gained 6 months of work experience in any department at Lowe's retail store are preferred. • As someone who possesses 6 months of retail merchandising experience, I have developed proficiency in several tasks, including Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping. • A skilled personnel with 6 months of experience in examining, transferring, loading and unloading of materials and commodities to or from vehicles in any industry.
