The responsibilities include operating and balancing a cash register, organizing medication returns, greeting customers, handling phone calls and Rx messages, accurately entering cycle counts, couriering medications, and maintaining cleanliness in the pharmacy. The incumbent must adapt their behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy and effective communication. The role also requires knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities • Perform clerical duties in accordance with established policies and regulations. , • Assist with completing inventory duties and data entry. , • Provide excellent customer service to customers, reporting any questions or concerns to pharmacy management. , • Operate and balance cash register to ensure accurate payment collection when needed. , • Organize medication returns and monitor receipt of pharmacy orders. , • Greet customers and provide customer service in a warm and friendly manner. , • Handle phone calls and Rx messages for missing dosages. , • Accurately enter cycle counts into the computer system. , • Courier medications as needed. , • Immediately forward medication-related questions to Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technicians as necessary. , • Organize and clean pharmacy shelves and floors. , • Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication styles. , • Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements.
