About the position As a Project Approval Underwriter II at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and approving project financing for various housing assistance programs. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for reviewing financial documents and ensuring compliance with lending policies. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support the loan process and contribute to a culture of excellence and innovation. Responsibilities • Evaluate project appraisal budgets, questionnaires, financial statements, reserve studies, and other relevant documents to determine acceptability with Chase lending policies. , • Work with internal partners to assess if projects or individual loan requests meet eligible Condo, Cooperative, and Attached PUD guidelines. , • Achieve targets for productivity, quality, and partner satisfaction. , • Contact outside third parties to obtain additional information as required. , • Ensure all underwriting processes comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements • One year of Project Approval Group Underwriting experience. , • Two years of collateral processing, underwriting, or management experience. , • Strong understanding of financial documents and appraisals. , • Working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA guidelines. , • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, underwriting software, and financial analysis tools. Nice-to-haves • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
