Project Accounting Specialist

The workforce is highly skilled and consists of application consultants, software engineers, and networking engineers located throughout the U.S. Project Accounting Specialist As a Project Accounting Specialist, you will manage more complex project setups, invoice processing, and time entry reviews. You will work on utilization analysis, assist with credit/rebills, and ensure accurate cross-charge service processing, while collaborating with senior team members on project profitability reporting. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up projects in the project management system and ensure all details are accurate. Review and correct time entries and address any discrepancies. Process invoices, edit as needed, and manage credit/rebill transactions. Use Asana to track project progress and ensure tasks are completed on time. Monitor and report on project profitability and utilization metrics. Manage the cross-charge service process and subcontractor time entries. Collaborate on improving billing and project setup processes. Other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Competencies: Intermediate understanding of project management and financial processes. Strong analytical skills with the ability to review time entries and invoices for accuracy. Proficient in Asana, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management or professional services.
