About the position Heritage Bank is seeking a dedicated Branch Relationship Officer for our Bellevue Commercial Banking Center. This role is pivotal in ensuring the profitability and operational excellence of the assigned branch. The Branch Relationship Officer will be responsible for executing sales and business development activities, fostering strong customer relationships, and achieving production goals. This position requires a proactive approach to managing both new and existing deposit relationships, while also supporting the commercial team in meeting operational objectives. The successful candidate will engage in employee development and engagement through effective coaching and performance management, ensuring that the branch meets its operational and customer service standards. In this role, the Branch Relationship Officer will co-lead and support sales and service activities within the banking center, ensuring that established production goals for deposits, fee income, and loan production are met. The officer will organize and direct operational workflows to minimize risk and ensure efficient procedures. A key responsibility will be to develop, grow, and retain deposit and loan relationships, working both independently and in collaboration with commercial relationship managers. The officer will also be responsible for small business and consumer loan activities, actively supporting business partners in onboarding and servicing deposit relationships. The Branch Relationship Officer will play a crucial role in training and developing staff, setting goals, and managing performance to enhance sales and service skills. This position requires a strong focus on compliance, ensuring that all banking activities adhere to regulatory standards and internal policies. The officer will also represent the bank in the community, participating in marketing and sales promotions, and engaging in community activities to promote the bank's image and growth. Overall, this position is integral to maintaining high customer service standards and achieving the bank's business objectives. Responsibilities • Co-leads and supports sales and service activities in the banking center to meet production goals. , • Organizes and directs operational workflow to minimize risk and ensure efficiency. , • Develops, grows, and retains deposit and loan relationships independently and with commercial relationship managers. , • Responsible for small business and consumer loan activity. , • Supports business partners with onboarding and servicing of deposit relationships. , • Trains staff in customer service, sales, operations, compliance, and product knowledge. , • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. , • Participates in community involvement efforts and events to promote the bank's image. , • Maintains professional relationships with all line of business partners to meet banking center goals. , • Leads the implementation of marketing and promotional programs in the banking center. Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred. , • 4+ years' recent experience in branch banking operations, sales, and service, including 2 years in a supervisory/management role. , • Thorough working knowledge of consumer lending and all consumer and commercial deposit products and services required. , • Strong customer service delivery, sales, business development, and relationship selling skills. , • Strong leadership and managerial skills to manage and develop a team. , • Proficient PC experience using MS Office products and knowledge of financial services industry core processing systems. Nice-to-haves • Thorough working knowledge of small business lending and Treasury Management products and services preferred. , • Demonstrated ability to train employees in customer service, sales, operations, compliance, and product knowledge. , • Advanced knowledge of all branch job functions and retail banking products and services.
