VP, Investment Banking Compliance Officer

About the position The Global IB Compliance Officer position at Jefferies is a Vice-President role responsible for managing the Investment Banking (IB), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) compliance functions globally. This role involves advising on transactions, reviewing conflicts, updating policies, delivering training, and mentoring junior team members. The position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure. Responsibilities • Assisting and advising on IB, FI and Equities Capital Markets transactions. , • Reviewing and clearing transactional conflicts. , • Attending and advising during M+A and Capital Markets committee meetings. , • Reviewing and updating Global IB policies. , • Delivering training to Global IB. , • Advising Global IB on core compliance issues. , • Mentoring, training, and overseeing junior members on Global IB issues. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree with 3-6+ years' relevant Legal or Compliance experience. , • Ability to think analytically and provide advice based on sound judgment. , • Effective teamwork and relationship-building skills. , • Flexibility to cover different shifts and take on ad hoc projects. , • Ability to manage a wide variety of requests in a fast-paced environment. , • Positive decision-making under time pressure. , • Interpretation and application of SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory rules.
