OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You'll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Expand current home vendor base by sourcing and onboarding new 3P dropship home vendors across furniture, rugs, lighting, decor, housewares, and renovation categories • Negotiate with new and existing 3P vendors to optimize performance, cost structure, exclusivity, and other strategic initiatives on behalf of Quince • Ensure vendors consistently meet Quince's SLAs, including maintaining exceptional quality standards, fast lead times, and adherence to forecasts to keep inventory in stock • Support product setup and PDP optimization for products sourced from 3P partners • Collaborate with merchants to weigh the costs and benefits of sourcing via 3P dropship compared to Quince's traditional 1P inventory model • Analyze vendor and category performance to suggest growth levers and assortment opportunities driven by strategic vendor partnerships • Serve as a senior internal and external escalation point, often involving negotiations with C-suite members from our external partners • Identify and drive internal process opportunities, such as vendor portal and inventory management improvements, to ensure Quince is a highly sought after brand to partner with • Collaborate with vendors to collect strategic performance insights that inform merchants' curation decisions • Act as an ambassador to our partners in all interactions, building and deepening our relationships through continuous improvement REQUIREMENTS: • 8+ years of retail sourcing or category management experience in the home category, preferably with luxury expertise • Proven track record of success in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working collaboratively and negotiating across cross-functional teams • Track record of leading successful commercial negotiations • Existing relationships and trust with key 3P home vendors is a plus • Deep understanding of the product development process, utilizing factory and vendor expertise to effectively bring new products to market very quickly • Track record in supply chain management or operations contributing to a well-rounded understanding of the retail landscape and ability to support cross-functional projects for new category launches • Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement • Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success • Bachelor's Degree, preferred We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. Bonus eligibility varies by role and is determined based on the position's impact and contribution to our strategic goals.
