Patient Eligibility Specialist - COTA or PTA! Department: Field Operations Employment Type: Full Time Location: Remote, U.S. Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 / year Description The Patient Eligibility Specialist is responsible for performing the initial screening process, managing the daily patient queue, and documenting interactions with potential candidates. The focus of this role will be performing daily screenings of the candidates in the Myomo Doxy waiting room, which will include administrative and clinical functions. Core aspects of the role involve learning the necessary skills and knowledge pertaining to our device, as well as inclusion/exclusion criteria to provide potential MyoPro candidates to the pipeline. We aim to provide high-quality and safe orthotic care to patients through our product line. The Patient Eligibility Specialist will report to the Patient Eligibility Manager but may work in collaboration with Myomo’s cross functional team members and other clinical professionals.

Responsibilities

Training • Review educational materials and resources to serve as a clinical expert of the Myomo product line. • Participate in training and observation with the Patient Eligibility Manager on an ongoing basis. • Train with local Regional Managers through observation of measurement, delivery, and evaluation of candidates to more thoroughly understand the MyoPro orthosis. Clinical Competency Assessment • Demonstrate knowledge gained through training with practical evaluations and written assessments. • Provide constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement in clinical skills. Collaboration • Work collaboratively with the Patient Eligibility Manager to enhance operational efficiency. • Identify and report customer needs, improvement opportunities, and potential sales opportunities to the Patient Eligibility Manager. Professional Development • Participate in professional development opportunities including emerging technologies and tools that can assist with efficiency gains, maintaining industry standards, and best practices. • Stay current on professional certification/licensure or clinical requirements. Documentation • Maintain CRM and patient documentation in a timely manner. Quality Assurance • Practice quality assurance measures, ensuring the highest standards of care for Myomo products. • Report on any identified areas for improvement to the Patient Eligibility Manager. Other Duties • Identify and report customer needs, product performance, and potential sales opportunities service of accounts, and sales growth to the Patient Eligibility Manager. • Attend and participate in industry conferences and meetings as needed. Requirements • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's may be preferred. • Allied Health background (PTA, COTA, Orthotic Fitter, Orthotic/Prosthetic Assistant etc.) required. Orthotic and/or prosthetic experience beneficial. • High speed internet and a dedicated home office will be a key to success in this role. • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective, lasting relationships with staff & team. • Must be well organized, self-motivated and possess integrity, initiative, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Highly professional, tactful, and courteous conduct at all times, in internal/external interactions. • Effective communication, problem solving, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment with ease. • Exhibit dedication to teamwork and commitment to clinical excellence. • Ability to quickly master technology; intermediate or advanced skills with applicable software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Some travel for periodic meetings and/or initial training may be required. Preferred: • Experience with myoelectric upper extremity prosthetics and/or upper extremity orthotics. • Background in sales or clinical education within a healthcare environment is a plus.
