The role of Senior Marketing Executive

This will be a 12 month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.

Career track and level: IC3

As Glean’s Senior Marketing Executive you'll help to drive and innovate our customer marketing through utilising your skillset across various marketing channels and our CRM. 

You’ll take the lead, being able to autonomously turn our clear objectives into marketing magic that will lead to results for both Glean and our customer bases - current and future.

Meet the Department

The marketing department at Glean is made up of a motivated and talented team who thrive on collaboration, creativity and innovation across content, demand generation and customer marketing. 

Your role will report into Paddy, our Customer Marketing Manager. Working closely with our sales and customer success teams, you’ll specifically contribute to delivery on customer marketing, focusing on both driving sales and creating opportunities to upsell. 

What you’ll be doing

Email Marketing

  • Take our growth to the next level by delivering effective email marketing campaigns to delight Glean’s customers and drive upsell interest.
  • Plan email campaigns, setting clear goals, strategy, and tactics. Manage and report on key email metrics.
  • Turn messaging into compelling copy that increases conversions.
  • Carry out tests and experiments to help optimize our email campaigns. 

Customer Comms

  • Coordinating communications for our key customer segments
  • Working with Customer Success, Customer Experience, and other departments to ensure comms are relevant and aligned
  • Identify opportunities to upsell Customers at key touchpoints
  • Manage Customer webinar calendar 

Marketing Automation

  • Manage our email automation campaigns across a number of segments, ensuring the right messages are presented to the right people at the right time.
  • Use our CRM (Hubspot) to plan nurture campaigns, setting clear goals. Manage and report on key email metrics.
  • Prioritise email and data health in all campaigns.
  • Work with the Content team to ensure relevant content is being sent at the right opportunities.

About you

  • A minimum of 4 years’ relevant marketing experience.
  • Experienced in managing email marketing and automation campaigns.
  • Experienced using a CRM system
  • A confident copywriter who can turn messaging into compelling copy.
  • Experienced in B2B marketing.
  • Confident on using tools for analysing and reporting on campaign performance
  • Passionate about learning - always wanting to upskill and invest in your development.

Bonus skills & experience: 

  • You have experience with an EdTech brand and understand the complexities of the Education market. 
  • You have experience with Hubspot CRM.
  • You have experience in a startup or scaleup environment.

Salary and benefits

£38,000 - £42,000 dependent upon experience 

️ 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays)

Location

We have a beautiful office space in Leeds and we love it when we get together to collaborate in person. We typically operate a hybrid way of working, however some of our roles support remote working within the UK, if you live more than 50 miles from the office.
