Senior Fullstack Engineer – Data Platform

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2026-06-17

At Spotify, our data platform powers the insights behind 600+ million Monthly Active Users and supports over 8,000 employees worldwide. Processing more than 2 petabytes of data daily, we enable creators, engineers, and data practitioners to make informed decisions that bring audio to the world.

We’re looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join our Data Quality and Observability team. You’ll build innovative tools that empower developers and data practitioners to collaborate with confidence, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. • Participate in hack days, hack weeks, and community events to share and expand your expertise.
  • Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and playfulness within the team, prioritizing excellence in both product and people.
  • Work in an environment where engineers are empowered to take ownership from ideation to production.
  • Who You Are

  • A Proven Leader: You’ve successfully delivered technical solutions, coached peers, and built relationships with leadership to ensure long-term success.
  • Collaborative: You thrive in cross-functional teams, working closely with product managers, designers, platform teams, and leadership to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Strategic Thinker: You define goals and drive them forward, aligning your work with Spotify’s vision for the future of data.
  • Innovative Builder: You advocate for high architectural standards and promote iterative, fail-fast solutions that deliver impact.
  • Technical Expert: You bring expertise in Java, TypeScript, React, (Bonus: Scala), systems design, and algorithms, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, event-driven systems, SRE practices).
  • Impactful Engineer: You’ve shipped high-quality code and contributed to developer tools or data platform projects, improving team productivity and reliability.
  • This role is for someone who wants to set the bar for technical excellence, mentor others, and make a tangible impact on a global platform. If you’re ready to lead and innovate at scale, we’d love to hear from you!
  • Where You'll Be
