VocoVision is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher specializing in supporting students with intellectual disabilities for our virtual education team serving the Reno area. Our innovative platform allows for meaningful connection and instruction regardless of physical distance. Position Details • Full-time position (35-37.5 hours per week) • Elementary through high school students (K-12) • Focus on students with intellectual disabilities • Caseload of approximately 30-40 students • Emphasis on functional academics and life skills instruction • Collaboration with onsite support staff and families Core Responsibilities • Develop and implement IEPs focused on functional academics and life skills • Create modified curriculum materials appropriate for students with intellectual disabilities • Design engaging virtual lessons that address unique learning needs • Provide consultation to classroom teams on appropriate accommodations and modifications • Monitor and document student progress toward individualized goals • Collaborate with related service providers to ensure comprehensive support • Facilitate transition planning for secondary students • Maintain regular communication with families and school teams Required Qualifications • Master's degree in Special Education • Active Nevada special education teacher licensure • Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with intellectual disabilities • Knowledge of functional curriculum and life skills instruction • Experience with alternative assessment and data collection • Proficiency with educational technology and virtual instruction tools • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport • Strong organizational and time management abilities If interested, apply here or contact: Alex Gonzalez 470-900-4181 Reno, NV 89501 Apply Job!
