Buyer, Procurement Intake and Compliance

About the position The Buyer position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis focuses on procurement intake and compliance, sourcing events, and supporting various business lines. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to procurement policies, and the ability to manage a varied workload while ensuring compliance with the Federal Reserve System's guidelines. The position requires onsite work three days a week to facilitate teamwork and communication. Responsibilities • Assist in procurement intake and compliance activities related to sourcing events. , • Work with Procurement leadership to develop and implement new policies and procedures. , • Ensure compliance activities occur in all Procurement sourcing events in collaboration with Senior Buyers. , • Procure complex materials, supplies, and services while adhering to the Bank's Acquisition Policy. , • Make purchasing recommendations based on data analysis. , • Perform competitive bidding processes by creating RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs. , • Negotiate cost savings and favorable terms with vendors. , • Manage a varied workload under deadlines and communicate issues to management. , • Write clear documentation and procedures for management and staff. , • Serve as a liaison for departments and provide training on procurement policies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of procurement experience including sourcing and contract negotiations, or an associate degree and 6 years of procurement experience. , • Experience in IT sourcing and procurement processes. , • Strong contract negotiation skills.
