Retail Branch Assistant

About the position The Retail Branch Assistant at Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) plays a crucial role in supporting the branch manager and ensuring smooth branch operations with a focus on retail sales. This position involves administrative tasks, customer service, and assisting in achieving branch sales goals while maintaining compliance with banking regulations. Responsibilities • Assist the branch manager with managing branch operations focusing on retail sales aspects. , • Work with the branch sales team to support achieving established branch sales goals through customer relationship management. , • Prepare and maintain loan files and supporting documents as needed. , • Attend mortgage closings and handle other lending responsibilities. , • Provide administrative support to the Branch Manager, including producing reports and managing record keeping. , • Assist branch staff with daily operations, including approving/rejecting non-standard transactions and resolving customer complaints. , • Coordinate security measures such as daily opening and closing of the branch and alarm testing. , • Function as a teller or customer service representative as needed. , • Maintain compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the position. Requirements • Associate's Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent training preferred. , • Training in sales is preferred. , • Knowledge of the features and benefits of the bank's consumer deposit and loan products and services is required. , • Five years of branch experience with at least three years as a CSR/Senior Teller is normally required. , • Excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills are essential. , • Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multi-task. , • Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures.
