Functional Software Tester

Description: • SureCost is seeking a skilled Functional Software Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. • The ideal candidate will have experience in software functional testing practices, developing test plans, and conducting regression testing. • The role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of agile principles to support the continuous improvement of our technology solutions. • Develop and execute functional test plans to validate software functionality and performance. • Conduct regression testing to identify potential issues before software releases. • Utilize Postman for API testing and SQL for data validation and verification. • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure software meets business requirements. • Apply agile testing methodologies to support the software development lifecycle. • Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution. • Contribute to test automation efforts where applicable. Requirements: • Strong understanding of functional software testing principles and best practices. • Experience developing and executing test plans. • Proficiency in Postman for API testing. • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and verifying test data. • Familiarity with regression testing techniques. • Understanding of agile development methodologies. • Experience testing applications built with React. • Knowledge of LLMs like ChatGPT and related AI tools for analyzing requirements and/or developing test plans. • A Huge Plus If You Have: • Experience in pharmacy systems or inventory management solutions. • Exposure to automated testing frameworks and tools. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
