Account Executive - Commercial Lines Insurance

Overview

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by building relationships with potential clients and centers of influence. Understanding clients' needs and customizing insurance programs to maximize the value of their insurance spend. In addition to acquiring new clients, maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients and centers of influence Responsibilities • Business Development: • Proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities. • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients. • Generate referrals through networking, industry events, and client relationships. • Client Consultation: • Conduct needs analysis with prospective clients to identify their risk management and insurance program goals and challenges. • Present tailored solutions that include property, casualty, inland marine and other lines. • Educate clients on insurance market trends, risk management best practices, and cost management strategies. • Sales Execution: • Presenting and delivering compelling presentations and proposals. • Negotiate terms and close sales to achieve or exceed sales goals. • Work with internal account management teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for clients. • Market Knowledge & Strategy: • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and legislative changes impacting the marketplace. • Develop sales strategies based on market analysis and target demographics. • Relationship Management: • Build long-term relationships with clients to ensure retention and uncover cross-selling opportunities. • Partner with insurance carriers and vendors to secure competitive pricing and innovative product offerings. • All other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Associate’s degree in business, Marketing or related field (preferred) • Three plus years of proven experience in Commercial Lines • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in insurance. • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverage forms and industry trends (preferred). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients. • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. • Active state insurance license(s) for property and casualty (or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe).
