Job Description

Blue Cross NC is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to join their Marketing Creative team. The role involves creating and editing designs for corporate advertising, sales collateral, emails, landing pages, and other marketing materials. The designer will ensure all work aligns with the company’s branding guidelines and collaborate with internal teams to meet project needs. The position also requires preparing artwork for approval and final production. As a Graphic Designer on the Blue Cross NC Marketing Creative team, you will work with your team of designers, writers, and project managers to create marketing communications for our various business segments. You’ll have daily touchpoints with the team to assess and prioritize the workload as well as work independently to develop and produce graphic designs and layouts for publications and communications vehicles such as sales materials, collateral materials, corporate graphics, and multidimensional displays or exhibits. On-site expectations for this role will be up to 12 times per year at our campus in Durham, NC. Please submit portfolio with resume submittal, portfolio will need to show demonstrated graphic design skills, and digital design skills. What You’ll Do • Ensure all materials follow the branding guidelines found in the company style guide templates to ensure materials are consistent with the Blue Cross NC and Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Brand look and feel. • Assist in consulting with business partners when determining their needs. • Collaborate with the other members of the project team to determine appropriate content and visual elements of the project. • Develop and produce graphic designs and layouts for print, electronic, and interactive communications. • Prepare artwork for approval and final printing, making changes as needed. What You Bring • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required) • 3+ years of experience in related field. • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field. Bonus Points • Exceptional design skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Firefly. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Basic understanding of print production and file preparation for print. • Experience working in Salesforce or similar email creation/distribution platform, HTML knowledge a plus.
