About the position The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver branch is seeking a Colorado Licensed Journeyman or a candidate who is working towards a Journey license with project management experience to work in an owner-occupied facility. The candidate must be highly self-motivated and flexible in job assignments. Qualified candidates must be familiar with 480 through 12-volt power systems. We hope you will consider bringing your building maintenance skills to our organization. This position is based in Denver, CO, and will require you to work on-site to perform essential job functions. Key activities include project management and coordination, where you will assist the Lead Technician in overseeing all phases of various facilities-related projects performed by coworkers and outside contractors. These projects may involve construction, building structure maintenance, electrical projects, or the installation of new equipment and mechanical systems. You will also be responsible for performing highly complex repair and maintenance of various systems and related equipment independently, including emergency standby generators, fire alarm systems, access control wiring, CCTV installations, network cabling installations, and Building Management Systems wiring and operation. In addition to technical skills, this role requires strong customer service abilities, as you will communicate with customers, project managers, or facilities support staff regarding the status of projects or work requests. You will work collaboratively with other trades and the design/project management team, providing guidance and training in electrical safety awareness to other technicians. You will also be involved in contract development and management, providing input for developing RFPs where significant technical expertise is necessary, and collaborating with the lead to develop project budgets and estimates. Responsibilities • Assist Lead Technician in project coordination and oversight for facilities-related projects. , • Perform complex repair and maintenance of various systems and related equipment independently. , • Inspect, monitor, and troubleshoot building systems using specialized testing and diagnostic equipment. , • Communicate with customers and project managers regarding project status and work requests. , • Provide guidance and training to other technicians on electrical safety awareness. , • Develop RFPs and provide input for contract management. , • Collaborate with lead to develop project budgets and estimates. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required. , • At least one year of industry experience required. , • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work required. , • Colorado State Journeyman license required or in progress. , • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety requirements, including arc flash safety. , • Experience leading project teams and supervising contract work. , • Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office suite and internet applications. , • Ability to create instruction documents for preventive maintenance or electrical system verification. , • Proficiency with floor plans and line drawings, and understanding of equipment manuals. , • Ability to multitask and meet project deadlines effectively. , • Strong oral and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with project estimating preferred. , • Comfortable working on ladders and lifts. , • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
