Fully Virtual - Washington D.C. Special Education Teacher Opportunities Soliant is working with schools in Washington D.C. to help schedule interviews for a fully remote, certified Special Education Teacher. With our remote positions, you will be treated as an independent 1099 contractor, meaning you’ll have flexibility in your personal schedule and finances to provide remote services. Position Details • Contract: 1099 independent contracting • Hours: Full-time hours (35-40 hours), including indirect time • Platform: We work with Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant) • Rate: $28-35/hour, depending on experience Start and End Dates: ASAP to End of School Year • We can also look for opportunities for '25-'26 as well! School Hours: 8:00 to 3:30 PM local time Minimum Requirements • Degree: At least a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related degrees (preferred Master's Degree in Education) • Certification: Washington D.C. certification for Special Education • Experience: At least 2 years of Special Education teaching experience, (additional remote experience preferred) • Set Up: Home computer with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection, capable of running Zoom or Microsoft Teams Responsibilities • Provide online 1:1 or small group instruction for students with IEPs. • Develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed. • Collaborate with onsite staff and faculty to support student needs. • Facilitate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.
