About the position The Logistics Coordinator at Mars, Incorporated is responsible for planning the dock schedule, managing customer care activities, and addressing any issues related to customers or carriers. This role ensures that quality pet food is produced according to specifications and business needs, while also facilitating communication between various departments and external partners. Responsibilities • Plan the site's dock schedule. , • Interface with National Office, Production Planning, and Customer Care representatives. , • Handle customer and carrier issues for the site. , • Conduct daily conference calls. , • Assist in special requests from the on-site Manager or National Office. , • Address food safety and quality concerns actively. , • Process customer and replenishment orders for Production and Warehouse. , • Interact with Customer Care, Transplace, carriers, and other Mars sites. , • Act as the primary contact for Carriers. , • Work overtime as required and take off-hour phone calls for warehouse assistance. Requirements • Good math, reading, and writing skills with attention to detail. , • Strong communication skills. , • Ability to work weekends to process orders. , • Good housekeeping skills and knowledge of GMPs. , • Basic knowledge of personal computers. , • Good problem-solving skills. , • Self-directed with organizational and time management skills. , • Working knowledge of Red Prairie and Transplace. , • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications. Nice-to-haves • Leadership and interpersonal skills to assess situations and resolve conflicts effectively. , • Ability to communicate effectively with team members both verbally and in written format. , • Experience in training other associates in warehouse operations and logistics.
