## Job Overview We are seeking a detailed oriented Front Desk medical receptionist to join our team at a busy clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. ## Responsibilities - Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner - Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries - Maintain electronic medical records - Assist with medical administrative tasks including verifying insurance information - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality - Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow in the clinic - Math is an essential skill as you will have to calculate and collect copays, coinsurance, deductibles, and self pay rates. We also sell products which require sales tax to be figured and collected. - Work doctor referral and process insurance authorizations for HMO Blue, HealthSelect, Tricare and Triwest ## Qualifications - Previous experience working with phone systems in a medical office setting - Proficiency in using medical software - Knowledge of insurance - Knowledge of medical terminology and medical administrative support functions - Familiarity with maintaining medical records accurately - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of insurance companies and authorization requirements. - Strong mathematical skills If you are looking to contribute to a dynamic healthcare team and have the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Medical Receptionist.
