Field Sales Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Field Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in identifying and developing industrial heater sales opportunities and support other opportunities as they develop in our South-Central Region. The territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Frequent travel within the territory is required. The ideal candidate will possess problem solving and analysis skills as well as the ability to negotiate and manage contractual agreements. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities • Use a consultative sales approach, focusing on the practical application of hot air in industrial equipment (e.g., drying, curing, shrinking). • Identify, establish, prospect, develop, and maintain business relationships with both existing and prospective customers in the assigned territory for the organization's Process Heat products. • Maintain continuous engagement with customers through in-person visits, phone calls, and email communication. • Understand and specify the proper tool/equipment to meet each customer's unique hot air application needs. • Develop strong relationships with OEMs, machine builders, and system integrators to drive repeat business. • Collaborate with the LTUS Process Heat team to address daily customer and operational challenges. • Actively engage with vendors and associations (e.g., material suppliers, suppliers of ancillary equipment, automation houses, machine builders, and industry associations) to maximize networking and business opportunities. • Represent the company at exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional events. • Support and promote Plastic Fabrication & Technical Textile opportunities as they arise. Requirements • 3-5 years of industrial sales experience, preferably in applications involving automation, industrial air heating, or related processes. • Strong understanding of industrial applications, process heating, and general assembly techniques. • Ability to travel up to 50% • Hands-on industry experience and a strong application knowledge base are highly valued.
