• This position is a 1099/contracted position, and mirrors a part-time role. Pay is $300-$400 per study, and bilingual (English and Spanish fluency) candidates are encouraged to apply.* JOB PURPOSE: We are seeking an individual to subcontract with our agency to complete Kinship Home Assessments for children that are in the custody of the Department of Family and Protective Services. The candidate should possess a BA or BS (or higher) college degree preferably in the Social Sciences (Social Work, Sociology or Psychology) but will consider candidates that have a college degree and strong writing skills. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • After completing orientation training, be thoroughly familiar with contract requirements: DFPS and Contractor forms, templates, procedures and guidelines. • Prepare for Assessments: Review DFPS referral packet, discuss areas of focus with Child Placing Manager (CPM). • Complete Assignments- Kinship Assessments • Schedule and conduct interviews with the family (all family members). • Write comprehensive assessments in approved format and writing style. • Submit assessment drafts to CPM for review by due date. Correct, edit and resubmit within 24 hours of receiving CPM feedback. • Maintain ongoing communication with CPM; progress on interviews, concerns, status of assessments. • Submit accurate invoices for completed assessments on a timely basis. • Provider paid per assessment. • Other duties as assigned. • Demonstrate Exceptional customer service, in Everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to "Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families, and their communities." ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university EXPERIENCE: No experience writing assessments is required, however it is preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish fluency) preferred. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion. LICENSES: Drivers License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
