DataStage Production Support / Remote
Only W2, No C2C DataStage Production Support Location: REMOTE Max w-2 rate - $50/hr As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements. Expected to perform independently and become an SME. Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. Advanced proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage is required. Intermediate level of proficiency in Extract Transform & Load (ETL) Patterns & Techniques is recommended. Batch Scheduling Tools & Techniques at an intermediate proficiency level is suggested. Develop and implement data integration solutions using IBM DataStage Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application delivery Optimize ETL processes to enhance data quality and performance Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and application functionality"
- Provide L1/L2support for ETL Batch cycles that run 5x24 in SDLC environments.
- Work in Late shift (12 PM to 9 PM EST) and provide on call weekend support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Incidents and job failures and participate in triage calls actively. Document Root Cause of incidents.
- Maintain the batch jobs and work with project teams towards propagation of changes to all environments as part of each release.
- Strong experience in Data Quality, Business Rules Validation, Source Target Mapping Design, Performance Tuning and High-Volume Data Loads.
- Work closely with Project teams, QA/BA/SME’s/other teams to discuss & understand issues and to provide solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Must have prior experience and working knowledge in some or all activities: troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and/or configuring in relevant technologies.
- Setting up of new jobs from the configuration request from developers/testers.
- ETL jobs maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Identify and implement system enhancements/improvements and Automation.
- Ability to clearly and concisely document procedures and processes.
- Work in process automation using Shell Scripts and SQL.
Must have Skills:
- 5 + years of experience in ETL tool IBM Datastage Director/Designer v11.7.
- 5+ years of experience in UNIX, Oracle PL/SQL in RDMS .
- should be able to create and analyze UNIX shell scripts and Oracle stored procedures.
- 3+ years of experience in job scheduling tools like Broadcom Autosys.
- 2+ years of experience with version control tool ACCE).
- 2+ years experience on ALM/any Service now/Incident management tool or any defect management tool.
- Prior experience in production/Test Batch support.
Preferred Skills/Nice to have Skill:
- Basic Understanding of Mainframe/Legacy applications, JCL/Job Execution, CA7 Schedules, NDM/MQFTE File transfers.
- Experience in Mainframe Technologies (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2,TSO, MVS)
- Experience working with SRE concepts.
- Basic understanding of US Retirement Products/Insurances.
- Working knowledge in JIRA and Agile methodology.
- Knowledge on Splunk and other monitoring tools
