Virtual Part-Time Special Education Needed for 2025-2026 Academic Year - Middletown, DE ProCare Therapy is seeking an enthusiastic virtual Special Education Coordinatorsforthis current school year for a contract position located in the sunny side of Dover, DE area. Needed: The Prison Education Program is seeking a certified special education instructor to virtually provide specially designed instruction with a focus on reading improvement to incarcerated students on an as needed basis. Work: Provide virtual remote instruction to designated students residing at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution and the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center. Dates of Work: July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025. Instruction will not exceed 20 hours per week. Job Duties
- Effectively support students by implementing lesson plans, delivering engaging and insightful lessons that align with IEP goals;
- Document provided instruction, dates and time of delivery and other criteria needed by the Prison Education teacher/supervisor;
- Provide ongoing monitoring of student progress and addressing gaps in understanding and deliver remediation as identified;
- Collaborate with peers and administrators in a professional, positive, and student-focused manner;
- Other duties as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain commitment, and convey challenging concepts to learners;
- Ability to engage struggling students;
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, collaborate with others;
- Demonstrated professional oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Current Delaware Licensure (14 DE Admin Code 1500-Professional Standards Board)
- Current Delaware Certification in at least one content area (14 DE Admin Code 1500 Professional Standards Board)
- Current Delaware Certification in Special Education
