Now Hiring: Part-Time and Full-Time Servers – Serve Up Great Experiences! Embassy Suites Rockford Riverfront is looking for friendly, energetic, and service-minded Part-Time and Full-Time Servers to join our team. If you love creating great dining experiences, enjoy engaging with guests, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you! What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming guests with a warm greeting and presenting the menu.
- Informing guests of daily specials and any menu changes.
- Recommending food and beverages while upselling when possible.
- Taking orders accurately on order pads or a handheld POS system.
- Delivering food and drinks promptly while ensuring a great dining experience.
- Responding quickly to guest requests and ensuring satisfaction.
- Properly opening and pouring wine at the tableside.
- Handling payments, issuing receipts, and balancing transactions at the end of the shift.
- Assisting with light cleaning, restocking, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
- Working closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Understanding and promoting hotel products and services.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a server or customer service role preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
- A team player who values guest satisfaction.
- Some familiarity with basic cooking skills is a plus.
