Join us as we continue to grow, innovate, and push the boundaries of what's possible in mobile communication.
We’re looking for a Staff Android Engineer to help lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality Android applications. In this role, you'll be solving complex problems at the intersection of mobile, telecom, and infrastructure — including real-time messaging, call reliability, SIM/eSIM integration, battery/network optimization, and app performance at scale.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, performant, and resilient experiences for millions of users. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll set technical direction, influence product decisions, and mentor others.
What You'll Do:
- Design and build advanced Android features that enable reliable calling, messaging, and mobile connectivity
- Tackle engineering challenges unique to telecom apps, such as managing dual SIM logic, data usage optimization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable Kotlin code, leveraging modern Android frameworks and architecture patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, backend, and infrastructure to build and scale new capabilities.
- Drive decisions on architecture, tooling, and performance strategy.
- Lead large technical projects end-to-end and mentor engineers across the Android team.
- Continuously improve the stability, performance, and usability of the app.
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling Android applications, ideally in a high-growth or consumer-facing environment.
- Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development, including Jetpack libraries, coroutines, and architecture components.
- Experience solving mobile problems in telecom-like environments, such as call setup latency, dropped connections, dual-SIM logic, or real-time notifications.
- Strong system design skills and ability to make long-term architectural decisions.
- Passion for mentorship, technical leadership, and growing engineering culture.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a bias toward action.
- Bonus: familiarity with telecom protocols, eSIM, or backend systems
- Work on meaningful technology that powers free communication for millions.
- Join a smart, humble, and mission-driven team that values impact and ownership.
- Flexible remote-first culture with strong work-life balance.
- Competitive salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
