The Department of Accounting has 18 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Job DutiesThe Department of Accounting within the College of Business at East Carolina University, is seeking a full-time, nine-month, Teaching Instructor to teach undergraduate Accounting courses including Audit and Managerial Accounting beginning August 2025.The Teaching Instructor will teach twelve semester hours during the fall and spring semesters at the undergraduate level in Accounting. The Teaching Instructor will also be expected to provide service to the university, community, and profession, and any other duties as assigned by the department chair.Contingent upon availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
- Master's degree with at least 18 credit hours of Graduate coursework in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Alternatively, Master's degree in the teaching field or related discipline from an accredited business school with 5 years professional experience that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines.
- Have significant Accounting experience.
- Possess the qualifications necessary to be designated a professionally qualified faculty member in accordance with AACSB standards.
- Required to be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Must demonstrate a commitment and proven record of excellence in teaching.
