We look forward to hearing from you!Software EngineerLocation: RemoteDuration: 3 Months likely to be extendedRate: $70 - $75/hr on W2Position Overview:The application engineer will work with application teams to assist in the modernization and migration of applications to Azure cloud environments.Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects to help application teams with light refactoring and moving their applications.
• Provide support in developing within a cloud-native environment.
• Assist in translating coding practices to the target environment, particularly Azure.
• Fill any resource needs that application teams may have from a modernization perspective.
• Offer guidance on lightweight refactoring, such as moving from SQL Server to SQL platform as a service.

Skills Required:

• Experience in application modernization, particularly with .NET, Java, Springboot.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices is a bonus.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud architecture and development.
• Ability to communicate effectively with application teams and provide guidance. Additional Information:
• The application engineer will support the application teams through the mechanics of the migration process.
• They will help impart knowledge on specific Azure services and ensure the application teams can move through their software lifecycle and go to production.
• This role is essential for ensuring the successful modernization and migration of applications to Azure while providing necessary support and guidance to the application teams.
