Microsoft 365 Enterprise Support Engineer- (100% Remote)
Position Description
Serco Inc. is seeking a motivated Microsoft 365 (M365) Enterprise Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and troubleshooting M365 services, particularly SharePoint Online (SPO), and provide end-user support for collaboration tools within the Microsoft ecosystem.
The role will entail liaising with Microsoft, other technical teams and or 3rd Parties to address business needs. They will report into the Global M365 Tenant Services manager for governance and support. Upon securing this role, the engineer will join a dynamic team to help lead the design, implementation, and support of M365 services and other collaborative tools on a large enterprise scale.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
In this role you will:
- Provide second-line support for M365 applications, including SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Teams, M365 Groups and Outlook.
- Assist in the administration and troubleshooting of SPO, including site collections, permissions, and workflows.
- Support users with document management, libraries, and SharePoint-based collaboration tools.
- Respond to and resolve M365-related technical issues via tickets, email, and phone.
- Assist with user account management in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and M365 Admin Center.
- Work with senior engineers to implement changes, migrations, and enhancements in SharePoint and other M365 services.
- Works with partners/3rd parties and engineering teams to document how the technology is designed and deployed for the service, constantly working with internal and external teams to improve technical configurations and keep them up to date.
- Provide basic training and guidance to users on SharePoint and M365 tools.
- Stay updated with M365 updates and features to support continuous improvement.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance

- An Associates Degree
- Minimum 3 years of progressive IT related experience
- Minimum 2 years of Systems Administration experience supporting a M365 environment with a strong understanding how the M365 applications and services interact with each other
- Basic understanding of SharePoint Online structure, permissions, lists, and libraries
- Broad knowledge of M365 Commercial and US Government IT technologies such as, but not limited to;
- M365 Apps, M365 licenses, Active Directory, Azure (as it relates to M365), Email, Unified Communications, Networking, Windows Server, Mobile device support-Intune, and Security
- Knowledge of troubleshooting M365 applications and connectivity issues
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
- A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment
- Experience in managing service tickets to maintain SLAs and improve customer satisfaction
- Proficient in PowerShell Scripting required
- Demonstrated skills in writing technical documentation of the environment at an enterprise scale
- Currently possess or the ability to pass DoD Secret level clearance
- Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) or SharePoint-related certifications (a plus)
- Basic knowledge of Power Platform Admin Center, Power Automate, PowerApps, or scripting (PowerShell) for M365
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and user management is a plus
