We’re looking for a Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) to join our Sana Care team. In this role, you’ll handle both clinical and administrative tasks to support our patient-centered approach to healthcare. This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll play a key role in supporting our providers and ensuring our patients get the care they need – quickly and hassle-free. • Assist providers with medication requests, lab results, x-ray results, prior authorizations, and non-clinical triaging
• Coordinate specialty referral requests and help patients access care easily
• Fast-track urgent imaging and lab orders
• Be the go-to person for answering calls and providing practice info
• Monitor EHR inboxes and support providers with patient communication
• Work with our payer business unit to address coverage and benefit questions
• Promote a positive, team-driven work culture
• Help improve patient satisfaction and engagement

About you

• 2+ years working as a medical assistant
• High school diploma or GED required (associate degree preferred)
• Medical Assistant Certification is a plus – but not required
• Awesome people skills – you know how to make patients feel comfortable and cared for
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
• Self-starter who is excited to innovate and problem-solve
• Passionate. You care about making our healthcare system work better for patients
• Hardworking and ready to roll up your sleeves when needed

$25.96 – $25.96 an hour Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at 25.96/hour + equity per year for all US-based remote locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
