Registered Respiratory Therapist- NIGHT Shift- Weekends only; Southfield
Department: Respiratory Therapy$7500 Sign on Bonus, based on eligibilityFULL time- 36 hours per week 7PM-7:30 AM, WEEKENDS ONLY-We can alternate Fri, Sat & Sun and Sat, Sun & Mon schedule if that works for the applicant.Henry Ford Providence- Southfield, MIGENERAL SUMMARY
- Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. -
- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis. -
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities. -
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome. -
- Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
- Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. -
- 3-5 years of ICU experience preferred
- NICU experience a plus
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association accepted.
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
