Vet Assistant - Large Animal - Kansas State University - Manhattan, KS - work from home job Company: Kansas State University Job description: About This Role: The Veterinary Health Center within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Veterinary Assistant. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance services to the KSU-VHC both equine, livestock and equine field service. Primary purpose is to coordinate technical services required for providing quality veterinary care to client, teaching and research patients presented to the equine, livestock services and field service department(s). This position is also responsible for monitoring 4th year veterinary students and entering information into the electronic medical records system. Stocking and cleanliness of the large animal barn as deemed necessary. Lastly, this position is responsible for coordination of animal treatments and diagnostics along with the supervising DVM on the case. Shift: Sunday -Wednesday 12:00pm to 10:00pm. Coverage back-up when needed. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications:

• HS diploma
• One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of large animal handling experience and previous hospital setting experience.

Other Requirements:
