This opportunity arises as a result of an impending retirement, offering a chance to join a supportive and dynamic team committed to excellence. As a Bookkeeper, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the agency's financial documentation. Our firm utilizes a user-friendly accounting software called Advantage, streamlining your transition into this pivotal role. You will be collaborating with a close-knit team of approximately 25 professionals in an exceptional location on Michigan Avenue. Key Responsibilities • Oversee daily bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and payroll processing. • Ensure precise financial records are maintained and prepare regular financial reports. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities as required. • Provide support to the finance team with any miscellaneous accounting tasks. Required Skills • Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a similar industry. • Strong grasp of accounting principles and proficient in bookkeeping software (Experience with Advantage or analogous tools is advantageous). • Exceptional attention to detail along with outstanding organizational and time-management abilities. • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment. Qualifications • Proven track record in bookkeeping functions. • In-depth understanding of accounting principles and relevant software tools.
